No Data Collection

TeenyScreeny collects no personal data whatsoever. All screen time tracking data is stored locally on your Mac using SwiftData. Nothing is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.

No Analytics or Telemetry

TeenyScreeny contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting tools, no telemetry, and no tracking of any kind. We do not know how many people use the app, when they use it, or how they use it.

No Cloud Sync

Your screen time data never leaves your Mac. There is no cloud sync, no account system, and no server-side storage. If you delete the app, your data is gone.

License Activation

When you activate a license key, TeenyScreeny makes a single network request to Polar.sh (our payment provider) to validate the key. The only data transmitted is the license key itself and a device label (your Mac's name) to identify the activation. No personal information, usage data, or screen time data is included in this request.

What We Store on Your Mac

TeenyScreeny stores the following data locally:

Screen time records (one entry per day with total seconds), user preferences (thresholds, display settings, notification times), license key and activation ID (in the macOS Keychain), and trial usage time (in the macOS Keychain).
